Héritiers d'une histoire vigneronne initiée au début du XXès., Bernadette et Joseph Arbo ont repris les vignes familiales en 1988. Ils cultivent aujourd'hui 30ha en francs-côtes-de-Bordeaux (Godard Bellevue Puyanché) et 10ha en Castillon-côtes-de-Bordeaux (Moulins de Coussillon), à l'origine de vins souvent en très bonne place.
Ce 2011 pourpre presque noir mêle au nez parfums de fruits rouges, d'épices, de noisette, de cuir et de vanille. Souple et ronde en attaque, la bouche affiche ensuite un caractère plus ferme et charpenté qui laisse augurer une bonne tenue dans le temps.

Ils cultivent aujourd'hui 30ha en francs-côtes-de-Bordeaux (Godard Bellevue Puyanché) et 10ha en Castillon-côtes-de-Bordeaux (Moulins de Coussillon), à l'origine de vins souvent en très bonne place.
Composée aux deux tiers de merlot complété par les deux cabernets, cette cuvée est une fois de plus couverte d'éloges. Les jurés saluent sa robe intense, ses parfums complexes et racés de cerise noire, de mûre et son bon boisé grillé et épicé, rappelant la cannelle. L'attaque dévoile un vin généreux, ample et opulent et déjà harmonieux. On pourra toutefois attendre cette bouteille pour lui permettre d'assimiler le boisé et de patiner ses tanins.

Oak ageing, 14%abv. Enjoyable rusticity here, smooth texture, has good feeling, something to grab on to, nice coffee and mocha, quite meaty and masculine, with a good kick from 12 months oak ageing (30% new oak). Blend is 65% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon.

Bright cherry red, redcurrant and floral on the nose. This has appealing tension, some soft tannins, but treads a little too much on the underripe side, 30% new oak from Vignobles Arbo, 60% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Franc, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon. 20ha. 13.5%. Drink 2015-2019.

This is a full and ripe wine showing fine concentration, rich and jammy fruits, and some firmer, well-integrated tannins. There is a hint of juiciness as well, leading to a wine that is generous and with some good aging. Drink from 2015.

Structured and balanced, this wine has great fruits that go with the tannins and rich texture. There is an unusually low amount of Merlot (60%) with 25% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Cabernet Franc for the aera, yet there is a strongly juicy feel to the wine that gives a generous side. It is developing well; drink from 2016.

While the tannins are still young, enough fruit gives balance and potential to the wine. It has structure and a dry texture sustained by the black currant fruitiness in the background. Drink from 2017. Joseph Arbo bought the property in 1988 and installed a new winery in 2011.
